A red Cavalier with no brakelights was pulled over near Riverside Drive and Euclid. The driver also wore no seatbelt and carried no driver's license.

Domestic battery suspect found & arrested

Officers looking for the suspect in a domestic battery occuring in the 1500 block of Elmwood stopped the 42-year-old man as he drove a white Ram van near 16th and Highland. During the stop, he admitted his license was suspended and he had no valid insurance. He was cited for the above, for failing to signal a left turn and last but not least, the domestic battery.

Speeder suddenly carless

A 17-year-old Chicago male was spotted speeding south on East Avenue. When pulled over in the 1800 block of East, the driver admitted having no license, which was confirmed by computer. He was arrested and cited for no license, no insurance and speeding.

Radar gun catches unlicensed speeder

An officer with a radar gun spotted a 2001 Honda CRV zoom past 36th near Harlem doing 44 in a 30 zone. The driver was 31-year-old Brookfield man who was cited for speeding and having only one working headlamp, and arrested for driving without a license or registration.

You can't park your van in the middle of the street

An officer observed a green 1998 Ford Windstar parked and unoccupied in the middle of the 1400 block of Oak Park Avenue, then saw a man try to enter the vehicle with a child. The officer asked for license and proof of insurance; he could produce neither. A check showed the man , a 26-year old from Berwyn, had a suspended driver's license. He was arrested and cited for driving without license or insurance and for obstructing traffic. Police contacted the mother to come fetch the child.
