Police were sent to check out reports of a black man in a red jacket badgering people for cash and cigarettes in the 6900 block of Cermak. A man on that block pointed out the suspect to police, who turned out to be a 53-year-old Chicagoan. The suspect denied yelling and said all he wanted to do was take the bus to Chicago; he did have a valid bus pass. Police advised him to walk a block to the Oak Park /Cermak bus, await the bus, and bother nobody on the way. But only 15 minutes later, officers were flagged down by a woman reporting the very same behavior. Officers found the man, who by now had reached Wesley. He was cited for disorderly conduct, after which he finally boarded the bus and headed home.
