An officer pulled over a really loud red '99 Ford Escort at Harlem and 23rd. How loud was it? Its sound system could be heard 198 feet away. The ordinance only requires that it be heard at 75 feet. The 18-year-old driver, who lives on Pershing, was asked to show his license but said, "I only have a ticket." The Ford was impounded for violating the noise ordinance, big time.
