Patrolling at Windsor and Oak Park Avenue, an officer saw a man walk southbound around the lowered railroad safety gates, despite the fact that the alarm and red lights flashing made it obvious a train was coming. The man, a 35-year-old resident of the 1900 block of Wisconsin, was ticketed for railroad safety violation.

Train gets ticketed for sitting there blocking traffic

A Burlington Northern/Santa Fe train was cited as violating railroad safety for blocking all street traffic from Harlem to Oak Park Avenue for nearly 20 minutes.
