Elementary school kids fight in Freedom Park

A mom called police to say her son and a friend were being beaten up in Freedom Park, 37th and Scoville. The victims, boys ages 9 and 10, were playing there after school when they saw another group of kids roughing up one of their third-grade classmates, so they went to help. At this point they were jumped and punched by two boys. The offenders were a Berwyn nine-year-old and a 10-year-old Chicago resident -- both were classmates of the victims. The parents resolved the situation.
