Flashing red lights, alarm noise, gates, fail to impress man at railroad tracks. Maybe a ticket will work!

March 30, 2007, 8:18 AM
Patrolling at Windsor and Oak Park Avenue, an officer saw a man walk southbound around the lowered railroad safety gates, despite the fact that the alarm and red lights flashing made it obvious a train was coming. The man, a 35-year-old resident of the 1900 block of Wisconsin, was ticketed for railroad safety violation.
