A 38-year-old man from the 1500 block of Highland told police someone had set a fire overnight inside his locked '99 Chevy Lumina. The man said that he noticed the car, which does not have tinted windows, appeared to have suddenly acquired them. In fact, smoke had blackened the inside of all the windows, from a fire apparently set on the front seat using paper as kindling. The seat was severely damaged, with a large hole burnt in it. The man said the car had been locked all night and that it was still locked when he found it this way in the morning.
