A 29-year-old Mexican citizen came to police to claim he was beaten and robbed after leaving a restaurant the previous night at about 11 PM. He said he finished his meal at the restaurant on 16th Street between Gunderson and Scoville, and was walking to his car parked on 16th when a white Ford van pulled up and 8-9 Hispanic men jumped out, took his wallet and beat him; then they proceeded west in 16th in the vehicle, taking with them a black wallet containing $700 and his Mexican identification.
