Cicero police took a homeless man to MacNeal Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. At MacNeal, the man, Edwin Rivera, asked a security guard to hold some ammo for him while he visited the bathroom. The security guard, alarmed, handcuffed Rivera; a search revealed two rounds of ammunition, one railroad spike, one round wooden log -- 6" by 3" --one broken razor and an oval piece of metal. Rivera said he finds these things on the streets as he walks around. The items were taken away to be destroyed; Rivera remained at MacNeal for evaluation.
