An officer in a squad car entered the intersection at East and Cermak on a green light. He witnessed a brown 1995 Ford Windstar run the red light, causing the officer to slam on his brakes. The officer pulled over the offending van at Scoville and Cermak and learned that the driver was a 36-year-old Cicero man. Among other things, the driver was cited for disobeying the red light and driving without a license.
